Dr. John Kingsley Krugu

Founder / Senior Advisor

Dr. John Kingsley Krugu is a public health specialist, development practitioner, and founder of Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana. With over 20 years of experience, he has led and supported programmes across Africa focused on adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), youth empowerment, health systems strengthening, and behavioural change. His work combines research, policy, and practice, with a strong emphasis on youth voice and agency, comprehensive sexuality education, and evidence-based interventions that improve health and development outcomes. He has designed, implemented, and evaluated large-scale programmes addressing adolescent health, gender equality, gender-based violence, and social inclusion. Dr. Krugu has contributed to national, regional, and global policy dialogues, including engagements at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva. Through Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana, he has championed partnerships between communities, civil society, government, and development partners to address structural barriers affecting young people. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor at the KIT Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam and continues to support initiatives advancing the rights, health, and wellbeing of young people across Africa and beyond

Dr. Francis Ansah

Board Chairman

Dr. Francis Ansah is a Senior Research Fellow and Head of Academic Programmes at the Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (IEPA), University of Cape Coast, Ghana. With over two decades of combined experience in educational administration, research, and policy, he brings a rare depth of both scholarly insight and practical leadership to his work in Ghanaian and African higher education. He holds a PhD in Education from La Trobe University, Australia, and an MSc in Educational Policy and Management Studies from the University of Twente, Netherlands. His research spans quality assurance in higher education, educational policy analysis, institutional governance, and gender equity, areas in which he has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes across Africa, Europe, and beyond. Dr. Ansah has attracted research grants from leading international bodies, including the Centre for Global Development, the British Council, and the UK Education Commission, and has presented his work at major conferences in the United States, India, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Nigeria. He also serves as an external examiner for PhD theses at institutions in South Africa and Malaysia, and is a respected reviewer for several accredited international journals. As Board Chairman of the Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana, Dr. Ansah brings this same commitment to education, community empowerment, and social development, values that have defined his career across every institution he has served.

Sedonia Adabugah

Board Member

Sedonia Adabugah, (MSC, BSN, RGN, CHN) is a registered nurse and public health professional with combined experience in Community Health and General Nursing within the Ghana Health Service and currently a resident at the Ghana College of Nursing and Midwifery perusing Well Woman Care membership program. She is a Subject Matter Expect (SME) for FGS and a mentee of the 2025 iCHORDS mentorship program with a project in integrated Cervical, FGS and STI screening. She serves as the Adolescent Health Coordinator and her expertise includes sexual and reproductive health, advocacy in women health especially in areas of NTDs and addressing gender-based violence against women and girls. She actively contributes to the Safety Net program, facilitating the return of pregnant girls to school or vocational training to enhance their livelihoods and education. A dedicated Training Coordinator, she conducts in-service training on sexual and reproductive health for adolescents, staff, and stakeholders, while also leading the formation of district-wide networks on sexual and reproductive health rights and gender-based violence. She is a board member of Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana (YHFG) a Non-Governmental Organisation in Sexual and Reproductive Health, Co- lead for the Ghanaian Diaspora Nursing Alliance Northen Zone and a District Chairperson for the Ghana Nurses and Midwives Association

Sally Lariba Azoteyine

Board Member

Sally Lariba Azoteyine is a dynamic Ghanaian leader in communications, project management, and community development. She is the Founder of Little Feet Foundation Ghana, where since 2015 she has advanced student support, health care access, and life skills training. She also serves on the Board of Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana. Her career includes impactful roles with Enactus Ghana, Plan International Ghana, Women Aspire Network Ghana, and the EU Election Observation Mission, contributing expertise in program coordination, strategic communications, and research supervision. Sally holds a Master’s in Diplomacy and International Affairs from ADA University (Azerbaijan), an LLB from Kings University College, and an HND in Media and Mass Communication from Tamale Technical University, where she graduated as the Overall Best Female Student. She has been recognized as the Most Promising Student Entrepreneur by the Ghana Tertiary Women’s Network.

Portia Nyaaba

Board Member

Portia Nyaaba is a dedicated teacher and youth advocate with a strong commitment to advancing girls’ education. Her experience with Harvest Youth Movement, UNFPA and UNESCO has strengthened her passion for promoting ASRHR and creating a supportive environment for young people to succeed.

Elijah Otis Awuni

Board Member

A Mechanical and Automotive Engineering professional, educator, and transport management leader with over two decades of experience. He specializes in technical education, institutional transport administration, and skills development, with a strong commitment to youth mentorship and community service.

Gloria Aduko

Board Member

Gloria Aduko is a dynamic young leader from Yikene, Bolgatanga, with a strong academic and community service background. She began her education at Doayin Academy and continued at Bolgatanga Secondary School, where she studied General Arts and served as a peer counselor and secretary for the Deeper Life Bible Church. She later pursued higher education at Bolgatanga Technical University, earning a First-Class Honours degree in Secretaryship and Management Studies. Driven by her passion for social impact, Gloria founded the Smile Glory Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting orphans and widows by providing clothing and essential items.She currently serve as a board member at Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana. Her journey reflects a commitment to excellence, leadership, and compassion, positioning her as an inspiring advocate for vulnerable groups and a role model for young women in Ghana.

Mr Thomas leruwanu

Board Member

A seasoned educationist and administrator with over 30 years of leadership experience in Ghana’s education sector. He has held senior roles in school administration, examinations coordination, and educational policy implementation, contributing significantly to academic excellence and institutional development.

Priscilla Nyaaba

Executive Director

Priscilla Nyaaba is a Public Health Practitioner and Gender Advocate with considerable experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights and advocacy for young people, project management and organizational development. She holds Master of Science in Public Health from the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in the Netherlands. She is the Executive Director of the Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana (YHFG), a Youth-Focused Non-Governmental Organisation in Ghana that empowers in and out-of-school youth to become self-reliant and self-sufficient youth, living in a more equal, healthy, and prosperous society. Priscilla is currently leading a Sexual Health Education Advocacy Project (SHEAP), where a series of studies are being conducted to generate scientific evidence for advocacy on the role out of a National Reproductive Health Education (RHE) programme in Ghana. She was a Co-PI on the Shifting Gender Norms for Improved Maternal and Adolescent Health (SIMAH) project in The Gambia and Ghana with funding support from International Development Research Centre (IDRC). As part of the SIMAH project, she supervised the implementation and the conduct of a baseline, and endline studies. She also contributed to a case study report on “Applying an Intersectional Lens to Understanding the Social Determinants of Maternal Health in The Gambia: Insights from the SIMAH Project. Before joining the YHFG, she worked as a Registered General Nurse and rose to the rank of a Nursing officer (Public Health) with Ghana Health Service.

David Ayine

Finance Manager

David Ayine is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with over a decade progressive experience in financial management, auditing, budgeting, and organizational leadership within the non profit sector. He currently serves as Finance Manager at Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana (YHFG), where he ensures sound financial stewardship, compliance, and strategic resource management. David holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and is advancing his professional qualifications as a student member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Level III student at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. Since 2007, he has managed complex financial operations including payroll, budgeting, reporting, reconciliations, and preparation of audited financial statements, strengthening accountability and donor confidence. His leadership extends beyond finance, having served as Acting Executive Director of YHFG, where he guided teams and maintained organizational continuity. In recognition of his dedication, he was named Best Staff Member in 2015. Passionate about the role of accounting in sustainable development, David is committed to building robust financial systems that drive transparency, efficiency, and long term organizational success. His blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and professional excellence positions him as a respected figure in the non profit finance space.

Comfort Abilla

HR/Administrative Manager

A highly motivated and proactive Human Resource and Administrative Manager with outstanding organizational skills in strategic planning, good human relations skills, and personnel management with more than five years of professional experience with an educational background in business administration, Human Resource management, and Marketing.

Michael Yen Zuure

IT/Administrative Officer

A dedicated Development Advocate with over six years of experience across the public and private sectors. He specializes in strategic planning, social accountability, monitoring and evaluation, and communications, with a strong track record in education and health-focused community development initiatives.

Joel Ayabilla

Accounts Officer

Ayabilla Joel is a committed finance professional serving as Accounts Officer at Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana (YHFG), Since joining YHFG in 2013, Joel has overseen financial operations, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of resources that support youth, women, and vulnerable communities. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Bolgatanga Polytechnic (now Bolgatanga Technical University) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Cape Coast. His academic and professional journey reflects a strong dedication to financial stewardship and organizational growth. Joel’s work directly contributes to YHFG’s mission of empowering young people to become self-reliant and fostering inclusive, thriving communities across Northern Ghana. Beyond his professional role, he remains actively engaged in community and professional networks, using platforms such as Facebook to connect with colleagues and initiatives that advance youth development and social change.

Abigial Adumolga Tiwol

Gender and Child protection Manager

Abigail is an accomplished Ghanaian social worker, gender specialist, and youth advocate with extensive expertise in adolescent development, child protection, and psychosocial counseling. She currently serves as a Gender and Child Protection Specialist. In this capacity, she designs and executes strategic projects that empower young people and community members through education, entrepreneurship, employable skills, and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) Throughout her career, she spearheaded high-impact grassroots initiatives, including annual Youth Parliaments, the Girls Remedial School, and targeted advocacy campaigns addressing child marriage, menstrual hygiene, and other gender related issues. Her commitment to regional and national development is further demonstrated through her role as National Secretary for the Girls Not Brides Ghana Partnership and her active membership in the Upper East Regional Child Protection Network. She holds academic qualifications in Social Work and Youth in Development Work from the School of Social Work and the University of Ghana, and Guidance and Counselling Psychology from the University of Education, Winneba. She is currently studying an MA Gender and Law at the University of Ghana. Recognized globally for her leadership, she is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow and has participated in international professional development programs, including a British Council exchange in the United Kingdom, child protection training with UNICEF, and project management studies in Cairo, Egypt. In 2022, she was awarded the Best Personality Award for fighting domestic violence in the Upper East region from the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection. Her core believe is to create safe spaces where adolescents can speak up, get accurate information and grow free from harmful practices that hinder their total development.

Clifford Ayaric Akanpotikum

Project Officer

Ayaric Akanpotikum Clifford was born and raised in Gbedema in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He is a nutritionist and a research assistant with a strong background in public health and social development. He holds MPhil in Public Health Nutrition and has contributed to several initiatives focused on nutrition education, community health, and evidenced-based program support. Over the years, Clifford has worked across multiple roles, including teaching, field work, programme facilitation, and management. As a social development worker with a passion for community engagement, he supported interventions that promote wellbeing among vulnerable groups and community empowerment. He currently serves as the Project Officer for Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana (YHFG), where he leads programmes focused on youth and women development, nutrition, and community wellbeing.

Stephen Duut Dambe

Project Officer

Duut Stephen Dambe is a dedicated youth development practitioner, public speaker, and activist from Jimbale in Ghana’s North East Region. Raised in Nakpanduri, he is deeply committed to youth empowerment, leadership, and community development. He holds both an HND and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secretaryship and Management Studies, equipping him with strong expertise in project coordination, communication, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy. Currently serving as a Project Officer at Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana, Duut supports the design and implementation of initiatives that promote sustainable development. He remains passionate about inspiring positive change and advancing the active participation of young people in society.

Percy Asinvim

Project Officer

Percy Asinvim holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Education and is a passionate advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With extensive experience in public health, community development, and youth advocacy, he has dedicated his career to serving deprived and underserved communities. His work in challenging environments has strengthened his understanding of societal complexities and deepened his commitment to driving meaningful change. Percy also brings specialized expertise in adolescent reproductive health and rights, positioning him as a strong voice for equity, empowerment, and sustainable development. Percy is currently a Project Officer at the Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana.

David Baniyigane Ajebakwagane

Project Officer

David Baniyigane Ajebakwagane is from Chiana in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Rural Development from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and has developed experience in community engagement, field coordination, and research support through his work with CorpsAfrica Ghana as a Community Development Facilitator. He has also worked with the Navrongo Health Research Centre, where he contributed to community-based research and development activities. David is passionate about contributing to initiatives that promote sustainable community growth, youth empowerment, and social impact. He is currently serving as Project/M&E Officer at Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana.
